Technical Skills

* 1 year experience within IT environment * 6 to 12 months of Unix Server systems (any flavor) administration experience. * Working Knowledge in Unix Administration (any flavor) * File System Management, Logical Volume Manager (LVM) and Patch Installation – Good to have * Basic Understanding on Remote & Network Configuration items – NTP, DNS, TCP/IP, Hosts, NIS, Telnet, Rlogin, FTP and DHCP * Good communication and customer service skills and the ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment.

* Customer focus * Accurate keyboarding skills * Strong interpersonal and telephone skills * Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a systematic and logical manner, and maintain good communications with all relevant parties throughout troubleshooting process. General Scope of Work

* Incident management – scripted resolution – follows documented instructions (this is the core focus of the CC function). * Operations management – EDN, log and dispatch, scripted routine/scheduled tasks (e.g. routine checks), standard documented requests (e.g. backup/restore), service request administration (if necessary).
